Colour in my first language and play is my favourite way to speak it. After many years as an artist, I have realised that some of the most profound creative breakthroughs happen when we stop trying so hard. Lately, my work has moved from the expansive to the intimate. These pieces are my daily anchors. Low pressure experiments that prioritise curiosity over refinement. They are a celebration of the personality of a single paint swatch. I create these to remind me (and you) that creativity doesn't always need to be a grand gesture; sometimes it's just about letting the colours dance for a while.
I have traded large-scale complexity for the meditative simplicity of a daily drawing practice. These works are my escape - a colourful grounded response to the chaos of outside life. No goal, no rules, just the rhythm of the pen/brush and the joy of seeing what happens when one colour meets another. This is my retreat to the page, a return to a childlike love of play, and exploration.
